The Tension of Reentry

I officially committed to moving to Swaziland almost two months ago. Since then life in the states has become semi normal and consistent. I have gotten a job at my favorite coffee company (Dutch Bros), and have taken on different responsibilities within different areas of my life, all the while trying to get back into the swing of things in my social life in Oregon.

It has been a whirlwind of busyness and slowness all at once. A time of loving being back in the states but longing to be in a place where they don’t speak the same language as me. A constant back and forth of being thankful for the friendships that I have in Oregon but missing my two different squads so much.

It has been a time of a lot of tension in my relationship with the Lord. Having stronger desires than ever before to know Him deeper, but not having the same type motivation I did on the field.

Reentry has been good. Reentry has been hard. I’ve been bad at it at times, but also really good at it at others. I’m thankful to have a job that I love, a family that gives me so much grace and challenges me when I need it, and a church that truly loves seeing me home for a short time.

This update is short, but every word of it rings extremely true.

Life is good and somedays are tough, but the Lord is still on his throne.

With that in mind, the fundraising is back in full swing. I have $2,400 in monthly support to raise, so I am asking you to take this to the Lord to join my team as I make this big move. If you feel led to join click that blue donate button up top!

If you have questions please don’t hesitate to ask! I’m so blessed by you all!

In Him,
